As you might imagine from the title, you’re going to see something different here.  I hope you like and appreciate what I provide for you.

Warning:  Today’s post is more than a bit long, so please bear with me.  They won’t all be this long, but there are some things that need to be said if you are to understand this forum.

Here you will find tips and techniques for starting your online marketing business, building your web site and getting traffic to your site.  Along the way, you will find a number of methods and techniques for making money online, as with some other sites. Everything will be presented in an honest and forthright manner, without fluff, bluff or smokescreens.  I will be providing information you can use, real content that can help you decide if you want to be involved with internet online marketing, and if so, how to build your business without having to spend a fortune in over-priced programs and products

Unlike most other sites, you won’t be getting barraged with over-hyped offers that promise to make you rich overnight.  The only way I know for getting rich overnight is to buy a lottery ticket and being very, very lucky.

My primary goal is to provide information that you can use to start you own internet marketing business.  Occasionally, I may recommend a particular program that I think can help you attain your goals.  However, I won’t be recommending anything I haven’t purchased, evaluated and used myself to make money.  If it didn’t work for me, I’m certainly not going to recommend it to you.  My reputation is at stake here, and I’m not willing to throw my reputation down the drain for the possibility of a few quick bucks.  You’ll find my email address on the Contact Us page.  It is my primary email address and I check it several times a day.  I don’t hide behind a pseudonym or other fake name.  Due to the amount of email I receive on a daily basis, It may take me a bit to respond to you , but I will try to get to you as quickly as possible. If you just want to ask a question, click on the Ask A Question Link at the bottom of the page.  If your question is one that may help others as well, I will post the question and my response to it here.  Unless you specifically indicate you want your name included as the person posing the question, I will handle it as anonymous.

You can make money online with any of a number of popular methods.  I’ll begin with the basics, a listing of some of the most popular.  If you are already aware of all of these methods, great.  You may be more interested in posts a little later down the blog.  However, even if you are familiar with some of these methods, you may want to read the post anyway, as it may contain tidbits of information you haven’t found before, or haven’t thought about in a while.

Most of the time, I’ll try to keep each post around 500 words, so you don’t have to spend much time on each one.  Occasionally there will be a longer or shorter one, depending on the subject and the time I have that day.  I’ll be posting at least 5 days a week, so you’ll want to come back often.

So if you’re still with me, I know you’ve asked yourself “Why is Rick doing this, anyway?”  To answer your question, there are several reasons.

1)      I’ve been a teacher all of my life (there’s a novel in there somewhere, someday about the reluctant teacher), and find myself going into teaching mode every time someone asks me a question.

2)      I’ve been burned too many times myself, and feel it’s way beyond time that someone stand up and provide an Honest, straight forward explanation of the processes and procedures it takes to be successful with online marketing.

3)      I have my own product, and hope that if I can help you out with information on this venue, you may reciprocate by buying my program some day.  As you might guess, it has the same title as this blog.  Honest Marketing Techniques.

4)      Occasionally, I may recommend a product that I believe can help you, and if I do recommend something, there is a high likelihood I might receive a commission if you buy based on my recommendation.  Any time I recommend a product, I’ll tell you up front whether I get a commission or not.

I believe in being honest and straightforward, and you’ll find the information in this forum presented without fluff or bluff.  Sometimes I may be a bit blunt, especially when I’m describing something I don’t agree with, like the state of current online advertising.  I’m not going to pull any punches, and I hope you can stand it long enough to come back again and again.
